I just watched Hak.5 episode 1×03.5 and got this handy little ‘developer’ tip for crashing Microsoft Windows on demand:
-
Open Regedit.exe
Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servicesi8042prt\Parameters
Create a new DWORD Value called “CrashOnCtrlScroll” with the value 1
Reboot
Now when you want to force a Blue Screen Of Death, just hold down the right CTRL key and press ScrollLock twice. BOOM! BSOD.
